My Story
Thanks so much for wanting to know more about me!
My mum was an avid photographer, and my brother and I grew up being the subject of her photos. Often they were not in good lighting or well composed - but each photo told a story of how we were growing up! Now as a professional photographer myself, that is how I photograph weddings. And that's the reason I call the wedding album a story book. Some photos in the wedding album are going to be more significant than others, but every photo is there to tell a story.
I am naturally introverted, so having space where I can think is crucial. For me that place has always been out in nature; among the trees, in the middle of a field, or top of a hill or mountain where I could see the sunrise or sunset. I believe my passion for storytelling, nature, and the small details is what defines my photography.
Getting Started
When I moved to Las Vegas 3 years ago, I decided to offer photography sessions for honeymoon couples visiting Las Vegas who wanted to explore our surrounding great nature. I got two inquiries and used those two as my portfolio. Then I got more inquiries. I ended up photographing over 15 couples within the first six months of starting! I guess couples seemed to be drawn to my “weddingscapes” style! This is a technique I formed for photographing landscapes, nature, and my travels to Europe and Asia.
Capturing the details of the places around me is something I’m very passionate about, and doing that for my couples on their honeymoon brings me so much joy. Maybe it’s the type of buildings that are around, a glimpse of the weather, or sometimes even the time of the year. These are the small details that bring you back to that moment, and maybe even remember things you would have never remembered.
I am proud to have photographed over 300 couples in just over three years! I’ve come a long way in my photography journey, but I still have so many things I want to do. I hope to travel different parts of the world to photograph weddings, such as the Amalfi Coast in Italy, Lake Como in Italy, Cambridge in the UK, Banff in Canada, Maui in Hawaii, Koh Samui in Thailand, Bali in Indonesia, and Jeju in Korea.
My Family
My Why is my family. I have been very fortunate to be called a husband and a dad to Paul, my five-year-old son, Rooney, my seven-year-old dog, and Eunji, my wife. Eunji and I love traveling, in fact that’s what brought us together. Even during the pandemics when we couldn’t travel, just looking through the places we have been together and imagining the places we want to go kept us positive. This should go without saying, but my family is the driving force behind the business, passion and what I stand for.
